Mechanical / MEP Project Manager

About the Role
Our client in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Mechanical / MEP Project  Manager to support the delivery of a major entertainment and luxury hospitality project.

The project involves extensive infrastructure and built assets delivered through a fast-track construction management approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical and MEP construction works, including installation, testing, commissioning, handover, and project close-out.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise the delivery of mechanical and MEP construction works in accordance with health and safety, quality, programme, and project requirements.
Manage the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
Ensure all works comply with project specifications, technical requirements, and operational standards.
Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
Lead the delivery of fast-track construction and fit-out packages.
Proactively manage project risks, interfaces, programme challenges, and multiple work fronts.
Promote a strong culture of health, safety, quality, and employee well-being.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams.
Implement quality assurance processes, inspections, audits, and performance reviews.
Oversee testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, handover, and project close-out activities.
Support programme recovery and ensure critical project milestones are achieved.
Maintain accurate project reporting and documentation using digital project management tools.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
Relevant NVQ, HNC, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Proven experience in a site-based managerial or equivalent construction management role.
Strong experience managing the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical and MEP services on complex projects.
Experience delivering fast-track construction and fit-out packages.
Experience working on complex environments such as mission-critical, industrial, utilities, transportation, healthcare, data centers, hospitality, or similar projects.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, installation methodologies, systems integration, testing and commissioning protocols, and phased handover strategies.
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management, and industry best practices.
Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, contractor coordination, programme recovery, and project reporting.
Experience using digital project management and reporting tools.
Proven track record of delivering high-value projects or programmes within a project management consultancy, construction management, or similar environment.
Eligibility to meet Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visa requirements.
Professional Certifications
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent.
CSCS managerial/professional certification or equivalent.
Relevant professional qualifications in construction, engineering, or building services are advantageous.
