Civil Construction Manager

About the Role
Our client in Saudi Arabia is seeking a seasoned Civil Construction Manager to oversee large-scale civil construction projects in Riyadh. This pivotal role involves ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with project stakeholders, and deliver major infrastructure and construction projects while ensuring compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), safety standards, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of civil construction projects in line with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Manage multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
Develop and implement project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Monitor construction progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays and cost overruns.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, including OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001.
Oversee procurement activities, including material selection and vendor management, in accordance with applicable ARAMCO and SABIC standards.
Prepare and present progress reports, financial updates, and risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders.
Implement sustainability practices aligned with LEED, Estidama, and Mostadam standards.
Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across project teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Professional certification such as PMP, SCE registration, or equivalent.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and construction management tools.
Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and local regulatory requirements.
Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or smart-city construction projects.
Strong understanding of OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001 safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
LEED or other sustainability-related certification.
Experience with BIM tools and digital construction methodologies.
Previous experience on major Saudi Vision 2030 projects.
Familiarity with ARAMCO and SABIC construction and procurement standards.
Working Conditions
Primarily site-based role with occasional office work in Riyadh.
May require travel to project sites across Saudi Arabia and the GCC.
Exposure to outdoor working conditions and high temperatures.
Mandatory use of PPE on construction sites.
