Electrical MEP Engineer – Building Systems & Maintenance Lead
Job Overview
AQAAR – Ajman Properties Corporation, Ajman, UAE, is seeking an experienced Electrical MEP Engineer to lead electrical building systems and maintenance activities. The role involves ensuring reliable facility operations, effective preventive maintenance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day electrical maintenance activities across building facilities.
Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems.
Oversee LV, MV and HV electrical networks and building services.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and maintenance service providers.
Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of preventive tasks.
Diagnose electrical faults and coordinate corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and applicable UAE regulations.
Support energy-efficiency initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using CAFM systems.
Prepare reports and provide technical updates to management.
Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & MEP Engineering.
3–5 years of relevant UAE experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
Strong knowledge of LV/MV/HV electrical systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAFM systems.
Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
Strong knowledge of electrical safety and regulatory compliance.
Excellent English communication and coordination skills.
Ability to manage contractors, vendors and maintenance teams effectively.
