Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Site MEP Engineer to oversee and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works throughout the construction lifecycle. The role ensures that MEP installations comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, quality standards, and project schedules while coordinating effectively with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor all MEP works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
Review MEP shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
Coordinate MEP activities with civil, structural, architectural, and other disciplines to prevent clashes and ensure smooth project execution.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify installation quality, workmanship, and compliance with project standards.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure MEP works are completed according to project schedules and milestones.
Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions to maintain project progress.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, international codes, health and safety requirements, and QA/QC procedures.
Review and witness testing, commissioning, and functional performance of MEP systems.
Prepare and review inspection requests, testing reports, snag lists, punch lists, and project close-out documentation.
Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical support, progress updates, and recommendations.
Review as-built drawings and verify completed installations before project handover.
Evaluate technical variations, change orders, and site modifications when required.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals, testing activities, and site works.
Support the successful commissioning, completion, and handover of all MEP systems.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or MEP Engineering.
Minimum 10+ years of experience supervising MEP works on construction projects.
Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical power, lighting, low-current systems, and building services.
Familiarity with local and international building codes, MEP standards, and engineering best practices.
Professional engineering registration or relevant accreditation is preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to review coordinated MEP drawings, BIM models, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
Knowledge of testing, commissioning, QA/QC procedures, and inspection processes.
Experience with project management and document control software is an advantage.
