Civil Engineer – Saudi Arabia

Job Overview

The role is suitable for a civil engineering professional with strong knowledge of construction activities, site execution, technical drawings, quality control, and project coordination. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating with project teams, monitoring construction quality and progress, and ensuring civil works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise civil construction activities and ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
Coordinate day-to-day site activities with contractors, supervisors, engineers, and project stakeholders.
Review engineering drawings, layouts, quantities, and technical documentation before execution.
Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with project and safety standards.
Track project progress and support timely completion of civil works.
Conduct site inspections and identify construction or quality issues requiring corrective action.
Assist with quantity estimation, material requirements, measurements, and site documentation.
Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate records of site activities.
Required Skills
Civil Engineering: Strong understanding of core civil and construction engineering principles.
Site Execution: Ability to supervise and coordinate construction activities.
Technical Drawings: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
Quality Control: Understanding of construction inspection and quality requirements.
Project Coordination: Ability to coordinate site resources and project activities effectively.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of quantity estimation and BOQ preparation.
Familiarity with construction project documentation.
Knowledge of relevant construction and safety standards.
Previous Gulf/Saudi Arabia construction experience is an advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
Relevant civil/construction certifications are an advantage.
Relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
Experience: Relevant civil engineering or construction-site experience preferred. The exact experience requirement should be confirmed with the employer.
Saudi/Gulf experience may be advantageous but is not stated as mandatory.
