Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking for our client in Saudi Arabia for an experienced Material Planning Manager to lead material planning activities and ensure the timely availability of materials to meet production schedules and customer requirements. The role will coordinate closely with Procurement, Production, Warehouse, Sales, Logistics, and Quality teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and improve supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Material Planning

Manage material planning activities in line with operational requirements.
Review material requirements based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory levels.
Ensure timely material requisitions and coordination with Procurement.
Improve planning accuracy and material availability.
Inventory Management

Monitor raw materials, components, and consumables to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
Coordinate with Warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory records.
Analyze consumption patterns and lead times and recommend appropriate inventory levels.
Stakeholder Coordination

Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely supplier deliveries.
Work closely with Production Planning to align material availability with manufacturing schedules.
Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, and Quality teams to maintain smooth material flow.
Performance & Reporting

Monitor KPIs related to material availability, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment.
Prepare regular material planning reports for management.
Identify planning gaps and implement corrective actions.
Risk Management

Identify risks related to material shortages, supplier delays, and forecast inaccuracies.
Develop mitigation measures, including safety-stock adjustments and alternative sourcing.
Management & Business Performance

Lead and develop the material planning team and promote a high-performance culture.
Translate organizational objectives into actionable business plans.
Monitor budgets, expenses, and operational performance to achieve cost efficiency.
Anticipate operational issues and take timely corrective action.
Prepare periodic performance and progress reports.
Process & Systems Improvement

Develop and improve material planning policies, procedures, and workflows.
Identify opportunities for automation and effective use of ERP/IT solutions.
Promote continuous improvement and adaptation to new technologies and business practices.
Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Academic Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Experience
10–15 years of relevant experience
