Job Description

A leading engineering contractor in Bahrain is seeking a Contracts Engineer to manage contract administration, claims, variations, and commercial correspondence for ongoing construction and infrastructure projects. The candidate should have strong knowledge of FIDIC conditions, subcontract agreements, and contractual risk management.

The role requires close coordination with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and timely resolution of commercial issues.

Key Responsibilities
Review and administer contracts, subcontracts, and agreements.
Prepare and evaluate variation orders and claims.
Draft contractual correspondence and notices.
Maintain records of claims, delays, and contractual events.
Support tendering and subcontract evaluation activities.
Coordinate with legal, commercial, and project teams.
Monitor contract compliance and obligations.
Assist in dispute resolution and negotiations.
Prepare commercial and contractual reports.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of contract records.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
Minimum 4–8 years of contracts/commercial experience.
Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts, claims, and variation procedures.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
GCC construction experience preferred.
