Commercial Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Commercial Engineer to support project commercial management, procurement coordination, budgeting, and contract administration for construction and industrial projects in Oman. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of project costs, procurement processes, and contractual requirements.
The role involves working with project managers, procurement teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure commercial compliance, cost control, and timely execution of project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor project budgets, commitments, and expenditures.
Prepare commercial reports, forecasts, and cash-flow updates.
Support procurement activities and supplier evaluations.
Review purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and invoices.
Assist in contract administration and variation management.
Coordinate with project teams on cost and commercial matters.
Track claims, variations, and payment applications.
Support negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintain commercial records and documentation.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve commercial controls.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 3–7 years of commercial/project cost experience.
Knowledge of procurement, budgeting, and contract administration.
Strong MS Excel, reporting, and analytical skills.
Good communication and negotiation abilities.
