Electrical Design Engineers
Job Description
Job Summary
Our Client of the for one of the Land Mark project in GCC is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to develop and implement electrical designs for production facilities and civil construction projects. The role involves preparing detailed engineering drawings, performing load calculations, and ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical systems design, including LV panels, control panels, and switchgear.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, layouts, and drawings for industrial and construction projects.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Perform load calculations, system analysis, and simulations to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Design and specify LV systems, control panels, and switchgear in line with project requirements.
- Select appropriate electrical equipment and components considering cost, performance, and availability.
- Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC) and local regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers for integrated design solutions.
- Review and approve technical submittals, drawings, and vendor documentation.
- Provide technical support during procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Troubleshoot design issues and recommend effective engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design within production, industrial, or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of LV panels, control panels, and switchgear systems.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and/or EPLAN.
- Experience in preparing SLDs, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Solid understanding of load calculations and electrical system analysis.
- Familiarity with IEC standards and relevant electrical codes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or actively pursuing certification.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or residential building projects.
- Exposure to production/manufacturing facility electrical systems.
