Procurement Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a Procurement Engineer to support the procurement of materials, equipment, and services while ensuring timely delivery, competitive pricing, quality, and compliance with project requirements and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders.
Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability.
Review and compare supplier quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
Coordinate with engineering, project, operations, and other relevant departments to understand procurement requirements.
Monitor order status and delivery schedules to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, purchase orders, and related documentation.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project specifications, and applicable regulations.
Support supplier performance evaluation and develop effective supplier relationships.
Assist in resolving procurement, delivery, and supplier-related issues.
Provide procurement status updates and reports to management.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant procurement experience.
Good knowledge of procurement procedures, purchasing processes, and commercial contracts.
Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
Good project coordination and project management skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and procurement-related systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in EPC, construction, engineering, or industrial projects.
Familiarity with regional suppliers, markets, and applicable procurement regulations.
Experience in sourcing technical materials, equipment, and services.
Other Requirements
Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is required.
