Instrumentation Engineer
Job Description
A leading EPC contractor is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to design, install, test, and maintain instrumentation and control systems for major Oil & Gas and industrial projects. The successful candidate will ensure all instrumentation works comply with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements while supporting project execution from engineering through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
Design and review instrumentation and control system drawings.
Prepare instrument data sheets, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and cable schedules.
Supervise installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and process engineering teams.
Review technical specifications and vendor documentation.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues.
Ensure compliance with IEC, ISA, and project standards.
Prepare inspection reports, technical documentation, and project progress reports.
Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
Support procurement and material selection for instrumentation equipment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
5–8 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects.
GCC experience preferred.
Knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
