Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to plan, design, and oversee construction projects while ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and project requirements. The role involves a combination of design, site supervision, technical analysis, and stakeholder coordination to deliver projects efficiently and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Planning
- Develop detailed designs, blueprints, and technical drawings using tools such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Perform simulations and design calculations considering environmental factors, structural integrity, and risk mitigation.
Project Management
- Oversee construction activities on-site to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and local regulations.
Technical Analysis
- Conduct site investigations, surveys, and feasibility assessments.
- Analyze soil reports, maps, and survey data to determine project viability and design requirements.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, consultants, and government authorities.
- Support approval processes, permits, and regulatory submissions.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 4–8 years of experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering standards.
- Experience in site supervision and project coordination.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in GCC construction projects.
- Knowledge of local authority regulations and permit processes.
- Professional certification or engineering license (PE or equivalent).
